Leslie A. Taylor Jr., age 78, of Elysburg, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 20, 2022, at the Bloomsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on Thursday, July 13, 1944 in Danville, a son of the late Leslie A. and Ellen Naomi (Hepner) Taylor. Leslie graduated from the Coal Township High School in 1962. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1971. On October 18, 1997, Leslie married his loving wife the former, Debra Sue Remley. For over 30 years, Leslie was employed by Verizon as a Splicer until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the Ash Grove United Methodist Church, Paxinos, the Brady Fire Company, Ranshaw and The American Legion Post 231, Kulpmont. Leslie enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, golfing and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 25 years, Debra Sue Taylor, three sons: Leslie A. Taylor, III and his companion Sha Kern of Kulpmont, Andrew B. Shaffer, IV and wife Christine, of Bloomsburg, Stephen J. Shaffer and wife Elaine of Maryland, one daughter; Kelly R. Fetterman and husband Jesse of Catawissa, four granddaughters; Emma V. Taylor, Alexus R. Fetterman, Brianna J. Fetterman, Adelyn C. Shaffer, three grandsons; Liam J. Shaffer, Rowen A. Shaffer, Landen J. Shaffer and sister, Ruth Diebler and husband James of Lewisburg.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Taylor family.
