Leola Fay Kessler, age 87, of Berwick formerly of Danville, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Leola was a resident of Glen Brook Rehabilitation Center, Berwick for the past few years.
She was born on Wednesday, April 15, 1936 in Muncy, a daughter of the late Leo and Vera Long. She attended the Muncy Area Schools. In August 1972, Leola married her loving husband, Glenn E. Kessler who preceded her in death April 1999. She was employed by the former Rose Lawn Yards, Danville until she had to stop working due to health issues. She was also a member of the 39+ Club of Danville, and The Washingtonville Grange. She had received several awards, The Grange Public Service Award and The Billtown Clown for special needs kids.
In addition to her parents and husband, Leola was also preceded in death by three siblings; Velma Charles, Myles Long and Blaine Long.
Survivors include two daughters; Bonnie Fausnaught and husband Fred of Berwick, Connie Koharski of Bloomsburg, six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Millville Cemetery, Millville. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Kessler family.
