Larry R. Shultz, age 76, of Bloomsburg, died very unexpectedly on Thursday evening, April 4, 2013, at his home in Mount Pleasant Township.
On Wednesday, March 17, 1937, Larry was born in Bloomsburg, the son of the late Arthur Shultz and Martha Keller Shultz Cragle. Larry completed his education as a member of the Bloomsburg High School Graduating Class of 1956.
On August 15, 1959, Larry married his beloved wife and companion, Rosemary McHenry in Bloomsburg. Throughout Larry's life, he was self employed as a contractor and specialized in concrete and concrete finishing. Larry loved spending his time in the outdoors and wilderness observing the wildlife. He will always be remember as a very accomplished archer and enjoyed shooting with his wife, son and grandchildren.
Larry was a member of the Bloomsburg Archery Club and also the Berwick Archery Club.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 53 years, is a son: Todd Shultz and wife, Sue, of Bloomsburg; a grandson: Bryant Johnson of Bloomsburg; two granddaughters: Kelsey Johnson of Bloomsburg and Alicia McHenry and husband, Dennis Jr., of Orangeville.
Funeral services will be held privately this week for the immediate family from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg with Eric Miller, Lead Minister of the Bloomsburg Christian Church, officiating.
