Obituary
Larry L. Barnes, age 79, of Catawissa, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, a patient of the The Gardens at Millville.
He was born on Monday, January 27, 1941 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Melvin and Evelyn (Campbell) Barnes. Larry graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1959. He faithfully served his country in the US Army. Larry is married to his loving wife, the former Sharon Fausey. For over 25 years, Larry was employed by Geisinger Medical Center as a Systems Analysist until his retirement. He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge. Larry was an avid bowler, senior pro bowler and silver level coach, he also enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Sharon Barnes of Catawissa, a daughter, Christine Barnes of Nesquehoning, a son, Jeffery Barnes and wife Jennifer of Weatherly, two granddaughters, Kaileigh Barnes, Kelsey Barnes, and a brother, Merle Barnes and wife Connie of Buckhorn.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Barnes family.
