Lance E. Werst, age 68, of Shickshinny, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at his Fishingcreek Twp. home, where he resided for over 35 years.
He was born on Wednesday, August 19, 1953 in Pittsburgh, a son of Mabel A. (Cook) Werst and the late Mervin C. Werst. Lance graduated from the Conestoga High School, Berwyn, PA in 1971. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he also served in the U.S. National Guard.
Lance was employed as a clerk by the U. S. Postal Service in Wayne, PA and last in Berwick. Lance was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, camping, boating, scuba diving, motorcycling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, cooking and all outdoor activities.
Survivors include his mother; Mabel A. Werst of Tamaqua, two brothers; Jeffrey A. Werst and wife Johanna of Myrtle Beach, SC, Andrew N. Werst and wife Nathalie of Tamaqua, a niece, Tami J. Brehm and husband Craig of Myrtle Beach, SC, a great-niece, McKenzi A. Stewart and husband Cody of Shreveport, LA, as well as several cousins.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Werst family.
