Obituary

Klyde Ann Deaner, age 61, of 212 Old Greenwood Rd., Millville, concluded her journey in this life on Saturday, February 20, in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She had been battling leukemia since September 8 and was a resident of her Greenwood Township home for 28 years. She will be greatly missed. Klyde was born Tuesday, August 31, 1948 in Nanticoke, a daughter of the late Robert Swisher and Margaret Davis Swisher Hoffman. She was a 1967 graduate of the Bloomsburg High School and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Berwick. She was happily employed as a Residential Advisor at the Red Rock Job Corps. Klyde was an avid gardener, enjoyed being outdoors and loved spending time with her animal companions. Survivors include two daughters: Elizabeth O'Hanlon and Rachel Deaner both of Millville; two step children: Manae Deaner of Arizona and Michael Deaner of Texas; several granddogs and six siblings: Candance Darling of Milton, Robert Swisher and wife, Monica, of Colorado Springs, CO, Peggy Shoemaker of Northumberland, Willard Swisher and wife, Brenda, of Sunbury, Glenda Cain of Charleston SC and Timothy Hoffman and wife, Bonnie, of Bloomsburg. Klyde was preceded in death by her sister: Pamela Fisher in 1991. Friends will be received on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth Sts., Bloomsburg. Services will begin there at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop James Boik officiating. A private burial will be held in Ikeler Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Twp., Columbia County.
