Obituary

Kenneth J. Rosini, age 66, of 662 Old Berwick Rd., Bloomsburg died Friday, February 6, in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was admitted January 12. Kenneth was a resident of his current home for 20 years and had been a Bloomsburg resident for 34 years. Ken was born July 2, 1942 in Shamokin a son of the late Victor Rosini and Florence (Bohenick) Rosini of Coal Township. He was a 1960 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School in Coal Twp. and a 1965 graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science where he was a member of Kappa Psi Fraternity. He was a pharmacist his entire working life, retiring in 2007. He was last employed by Eckert Drug. He was past manager of the Former Rea & Derick Drug in Bloomsburg and has also worked at Weis Pharmacy of Bloomsburg and Scots Pharmacy of the Shamokin Area. Mr. Rosini was a member of St. Columba Catholic Parish, Bloomsburg, the Pennsylvania Pharmaceutical Assoc. and the American Pharmaceutical Assoc. Surviving in addition to his mother is a daughter: Shannon L. Campbell and husband, David M., of Sunbury; a son: Kevin J. Rosini of Willow Grove; four granddaughters: Sheyna, Hannah, Katelyn and Marissa; a grandson: Zackary; two sisters: Barbara Rosini of Boothwyn, PA and Cindi Krebs and husband, Paul, of Coal Twp.; two brothers: V. Ronald Rosini of Coal Twp. and Michael Rosini and fiancée, Sue Vaughn, of Drexel Hill; five nieces; five nephews and additional dear friends. In addition to his father Ken was preceded by a sister: Tina Kraak in 1998 Friends will be received at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St. on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Columba Catholic Church, Third and Iron Sts., Bloomsburg where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Rev. Patrick A. Devine will preside. A private burial in New Rosemont Cemetery will be at later time. Family will provide flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Columba Catholic School, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg.
