Kay S. Gyimesi, age 82, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at her North Centre Twp. home where she resided for over 45 years.
She was born on Sunday, January 29, 1939 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Eugene Naus and Helen (Hartman) Beaver. Kay graduated from the Berwick High School in 1956. For over 30 years, Kay was employed by Bloomsburg Area Middle School as a custodian until her retirement in 2005. She was a member of the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. Kay was an avid gardener and baker. She won many ribbons at the Bloomsburg Fair. She loved her family and grandchildren dearly.. she loved baking their birthday cakes. She also loved to travel to Maine and Hungary to visit family and she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Kay was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gyimesi, by a sister, Jean Machak, and a brother-in-law, David Artman.
Survivors include her two beloved children, a daughter, Elizabeth K. wife of Michael D. Bobroski of Nescopeck, a son, James A. Gyimesi of Berwick, four grandchildren, Michael C. Bobroski, Madyson E. Bobroski, Julian Gyimesi, Raiven A. Gyimesi, three sisters, Ginger wife of James Powlus of Bloomsburg, Helen Artman of Berwick, and Wanita wife of Jerry Murphy of Berwick.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Vince Keister, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick.
