Kathy Hippenstiel, 77, died October 16, 2024, at her home in Millville.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Kathryn Gorrey Reimard of Espy, and a niece of her beloved aunt, the late Dorothy Gorrey of Bloomsburg.

She was the wife of Douglas Hippenstiel, to whom she was married on April 12, 1969. A lifelong resident of Columbia County, she graduated from Central Columbia High School in 1965 and from Bloomsburg State College in 1969.

She was a dedicated and conscientious teacher at Central Columbia High School for 27 years.

She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Bloomsburg.

Her entire life was devoted to her family, and she loved them dearly.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Joanna Kathryn (Brian) Flynn of Loyalsock Township; a son, Robert Michael (Megan) Hippenstiel of Millville, and the following grandchildren: Benjamin Sosa of Northville, MI; Emily Hippenstiel of Millville, Alyssa Hippenstiel of Millville, Julia Hippenstiel of Millville, Aiden Flynn of Loyalsock Township, Chelsea Rockey of Berwick, and a step grandson, Conor Flynn of Williamsport.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 20, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Requiem Eucharist will begin on Monday, October 21, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 105 E Main Street, Bloomsburg with The Rev. Allison J. Carnahan, as celebrant. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Hippenstiel family.
