Kathy A. Fijal, age 73, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at her home in Main Township with her loving family by her side, where she was a lifelong resident.

Kathy was born on Monday, October 22, 1951 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Arnold and Jean (Lowell) Johnson. She graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1969. She expanded her education by attending Danville LPN School and graduated after two years. On September 20, 1975, Kathy married her loving husband, Robert L. "Bob" Fijal, who preceded her in death on October 26, 2024. For over 31 years, Kathy was employed by Geisinger Medical Center as a LPN until her retirement. She enjoyed working at Camp Victory, Millville. Kathy loved spending her time gardening, painting, animals, traveling, reading and watching her granddaughter's sports events.

Survivors include her two beloved children: Matthew Fijal and wife Megan of Berwick, Kasey Fijal of Bloomsburg; her only granddaughter, Maggie J. Fijal of Berwick; two siblings: Gary E. Johnson of Bloomsburg, Vicki McAndrews and husband John of Vera Beach, FL.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Fijal family.
