Kathryn F. Creasy, age 93, a 60 year resident of Millville, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Center where she had resided for 2 ½ years.
Kathryn was born on Thursday, March 25, 1920 a daughter of the late John and Vernice (Hess) Fought. After attending the Bloomsburg schools she graduated from the Millville High School.
As an Office Clerk, Kathryn was last employed by the former Sprout Waldron Co. of Muncy, retiring in 1980.
Kathryn was a member of the Mill-Green United Methodist Church of Millville. Her greatest enjoyments were spending time with her family and camping along the Susquehanna River in Montgomery.
On September 13, 1978 a marital bond of 38 years was broken when Kathryn's husband, Irvin S. Creasy died. Also preceding her in death was a granddaughter: Chris (Case) Shultz, a sister: Helen (Fought) Kipp; and three brothers: Robert Fought, Chester Fought and Ronnie Fought.
Survivors include a daughter: Kay Lou Case and husband, David, of Millville; two sons: Chester Creasy and wife, Patricia, of Clarkstown and George Creasy and wife, Phyllis, of Hughesville; five grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and a brother: J.C. Fought and wife, Marjorie, of Millville.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 14 at 11:00 am in the Mill-Green United Methodist Church, Millville with her pastor, Rev. Robert Strozyk, officiating. Burial will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery.
