Karlene L. Wright, age 86, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at her South Centre Twp. home.
She was born on Friday, December 11, 1931 in Columbus, OH, a daughter of the late Karl and Martha (Beyer) Lemon. Throughout her younger years, Karlene attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1949. On April 29, 1950, she married her loving husband, Ken A. Wright. For over 20 years, Karlene was employed by Bloomsburg University as an Executive Secretary in Computer Services until her retirement in 1994. Karlene enjoyed traveling, her friends and especially time spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, Karlene was also preceded by her son-in-law, Robert M. "Bob" Rohm in 1994.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 68 years, Ken A.Wright of Bloomsburg; two daughters Kathlene Rohm of Bloomsburg and Lori E. Wright of Exeter; three grandchildren, Chelsea E. wife of Christopher Nicolais of Havertown, Brooke R. Rohm and husband Martin Siewert of New York City, NY, and Whitney K. Rohm-Clayton wife of Daniel Clayton of Bloomsburg; three great-grandchildren, Beau Rohm, Camillia Clayton, and Charlotte Nicolais; and a brother, Jerome Lemon and wife Doris of Danville.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. R. Christian Dunlap, Geisinger Hospice Chaplain, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Wright family.
