June J. Aneskevich, age 83, of Bloomsburg, formerly of Tresckow, passed away on Thursday morning, October 19, 2023, a resident of Vintage Knolls, Danville.

She was born on Monday, December 4, 1939 in Hazleton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Thelma (Kepp) Controvich. She graduated from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Commercial High School, Bridgeport, CT. On January 25, 1964, June married her loving husband, Thomas A. Aneskevich, who preceded her in death on April 9, 2003. She was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of the former St. Kunegunda Catholic Church, McAdoo and a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg.

In addition to her parents and husband, June was also preceded in death by two daughters: Karen J. Watkins and Maureen T. Aneskevich.

Survivors include her three children: Jennifer M. Reed and husband Allen of Hazle Twp., Mary S. Getz and husband Michael of Bloomsburg, Jeffrey T. Aneskevich and wife Kristin of Weatherly, twelve grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Columba Catholic Church with Rev. Richard J. Mowery, celebrant. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in St. Kunegunda Cemetery, McAdoo. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Aneskevich family.
