Julienne "Joy" D. Krum, age 81, of Grovania Drive, Bloomsburg, died Sunday morning, August 28, 2011 at the Manor at Penn Village in Selinsgrove. She was a resident of her Montour Township home since 2001, and was also a former resident of Mt. Bethel, PA.
Joy was born on Tuesday, April 15, 1930 in Kingston, a daughter of the late Julian and Dorothy (Hilton) Gunton. She was a member of the 1948 Graduating Class of the Edwardsville High School. She also attended Wyoming Seminary in Kingston. Throughout her life with guidance from the Lord, she devoted her time and love to her husband and children.
Joy is survived by her beloved husband of almost 61 years, Herbert J. Krum; four children: Michelle Krum of Hellertown; Bradley Krum and wife, MaryJo, of Bangor; Stephen Krum of Birmingham, AL; and Susan Riggin and husband, Douglas, of Manheim; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; and also a brother: Julian "Buddy" Gunton of Easton.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Krum family is being assisted by the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St. in Bloomsburg. Memorial contributions in Joy's name are suggested to the American Lung Assoc., 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill PA 17011.
