Joyce C. Kindig, age 85, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, a resident of Emmanuel Nursing Center, Danville. She was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 65 years.

Joyce was born on Saturday, May 13, 1939 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Wallace and Zoe (Parker) Crist Cromley. She graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1957. On July 18, 1959, Joyce married her loving husband, Dale E. Kindig, who preceded her in death on September 25, 2018. Joyce had many jobs through the years, but her last one was at Bloomsburg Health Care Center as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She was a member of the Berwick Assembly of God. Over the years, Joyce was a Girl Scout leader, an avid golfer, and a competitive archer. She enjoyed hunting with bow and a rifle, spending time outdoors and time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was also preceded in death by her brother, James Crist.

Survivors include her three beloved children: Bonnie J. Sweeney and husband Daniel of Bloomsburg, Diann L. Vera and husband Roy of Bloomsburg and William S. Kindig and wife Kelly of Millville; four grandchildren: Megan M. Sweeney of Danville, Isaac M. Vera of Danville, Madison M. Kindig of Millville, Carson S. Kindig of Bloomsburg.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Kindig family.
