Josephine H. Wolfe, age 98, of Orangeville, died on Monday, March 13, 2017, a resident of the The Gardens at Orangeville. Josephine was a Columbia County resident her entire life.
Josephine was born one of eleven children, on Sunday, January 12, 1919 in Mt. Pleasant Twp., Columbia County, a daughter of the late Scott and Grace (White) Hock.
On September 1, 1939, Josephine married her loving husband, Clifton M. Wolfe who died December 9, 2008. Josephine was a bookkeeper for her husband's business while she raised her family.
As a member of the Shiloh Bible Church, she was active with the church's "Happy Group". She was also a member of the Bloomsburg Hospital Auxiliary and the Gideon Women's Organization. Josephine enjoyed spending her time reading, puzzles, camping, motorcycle riding, fishing, and traveling.
In addition to her parents and husband, Josephine was also preceded by ten siblings: Martha Cole, Lester Hock, Harold Hock, George Hock, Max Hock, Lone Hock, Mildred Laubach, Earl Hock, Robert Hock, and Paul Hock.
Survivors include her daughters: Barbara Krug (John) of St. Charles, MO, and Betty Albertson (Clyde, Jr.) of Orangeville, PA, and grandaughter, Amanda "Mandy" Walters Lake Jackson, TX.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Shiloh Bible Church, 123 Church St., Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Friday, at 11:00 am with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyon, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Elan Memorial Park. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St. Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Wolfe family.
