Josephine L. "Josie" Deiterich, age 87, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her home in Scott Township where she lived for over 58 years.

Josie was born on Tuesday, October 18, 1938, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Paul and Louise (Oberdorf) Fisher. She graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1958. On April 8, 1961, Josie married her loving husband, Larry P. Deiterich. Josie was a homemaker all her adult life. Josie was a member of the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Bloomsburg. She was also a member of the TOPS and the Senior Citizens Center. Josie enjoyed spending her time Fishing, traveling, and family was everything.

In addition to her parents, Josephine was also preceded in death by four siblings: Charles "Chick" Fisher, Paul Fisher, Betty L. Fisher, Mary Ruth Schultz, and her son in law, Richard Onisick.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years: Larry P. Deiterich of Bloomsburg; three children: Ricky Deiterich and wife Crystal of Danville, Jeffrey Deiterich and wife Patricia of Norvelt, Paula J. Onisick of Bloomsburg; seven grandchildren: Nicole Lakin and husband Shawn, Sarah Golla and husband Ryan, Bryan Deiterich, Paul Boehmer and husband Phil, Kyle Deiterich, Peter A. Onisick and wife Emily, Parker B. Onisick, 12 great grandchildren, and a sister, Janet Bennett and husband Larry of Bloomsburg.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Steven C. Hummel, Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Deiterich family.
