John R. "Rick" Penman, age 68, of Bloomsburg, died on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at his Madison Twp. home. John was a resident of his home on Jerseytown Road for over 30 years.
John was born on Saturday, November 19, 1949 in Bloomsburg, a son of Fay A. (Mausteller) Penman and the late Bruce J. Penman. For over 45 years, John was employed at numerous jobs as a laborer, lastly for Bloomsburg Airport and Danilowicz Nursery, Catawissa. He was a past member of the Pennsylvania National Guard during the 1970's. He enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles, working in his garden, hunting, was an avid reader, he also enjoyed watching PBS television shows. He loved the outdoors and being in nature.
In addition to his father, John was also preceded by his companion of over 40 years, Marjorie M. Kreischer on November 1, 2016, and a brother, Mark C. Penman in November, 1979.
Survivors include his mother, Fay A. Penman of Bloomsburg; three sisters, Vicki A. Penman of Bloomsburg; Sandra J. Sabol of Bloomsburg; and Monica K. Howell of Millville; a nephew, Eric S. Sabol of Bloomsburg; and a great niece, Sierra L. Sabol of Bloomsburg.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
