John F. Miller, age 71, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center. John was a resident of his home in Bloomsburg for over 3 years and previously lived in Toms River, NJ.
He was born on Wednesday, September 15, 1948 in Bronx, NY, a son of the late Frederick and Meriam (Quinn) Miller. John graduated from St. John's High School in NY. John faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on April 3, 1972.
On May 7, 1977, John married his loving wife, the former Leslie Sirianni. John was employed as an Electronics Engineer until his retirement. He was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, the V.F.W., and the American Legion.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Leslie Miller; a daughter, Jen, wife of Jason Andress, of Bloomsburg; a son, Brian Miller of Stuart, FL, a grandson, Jaxon Andress, a sister, Dorothy, wife of John Joyce, of Toms River, NJ, and a brother, Michael Miller and wife, Veronica, of Toms River, NJ. John's greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandson, Jaxon.
Due to recent events and the current CDC guidelines, funeral services will be held privately for the family. John's family apologizes for restricting his family and friends from paying respect at this time.
