John Jacob "Jake" O'Brien, Jr. age 26, of Main Street, Lightstreet died on Sunday, September 19, 2010 in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital following an automobile accident that occurred on late Saturday evening.
Jake was born on Wednesday, February 22, 1984 in Berwick, a son of John O'Brien, Sr. of Lightstreet and the late Susan M. Perreault on July 27, 1987. He was a member of the 2002 Graduating Class of Central Columbia High School.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his companion, Jessica Embre; a son: Caleb O'Brien of Georgia; two sisters: Ronny O'Brien of Nescopeck and Kristy O'Brien of West Palm Beach, Florida; a Maternal Grandmother: Helen Madl of Deltona, Florida and an uncle who helped raise him: David P. O'Brien.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 15 at 10 a.m. from Holy Spirit Parish in the former St. Mary's Catholic Church, 150 Main St., Mocanaqua, PA 18655. Graveside services will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in Mocanaqua. The O'Brien family is being assisted by the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
