John M. "Jack" Lenhart Jr., age 66, of Millville, died on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at his home. John was a resident of his home in Greenwood Township for over 30 years.
John was born on Thursday, February 26, 1953 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late John M., Sr. and Norma Jean (Whitenight) Lenhart.
Throughout his younger years, he attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1971. John expanded his education by attending Bloomsburg State College.
John was employed by Kleerdex as an Extruder Operator until his retirement in 2008. He possessed a keen intellect and understanding of many diverse subjects. His interests included meteorology, gardening and conifer propagation by seed, political analysis and finance. He was a sports aficionado who closely followed the New York Yankees and Penn State football. He was a natural leader who never looked for followers. He had a true and kind heart and was a devoted father. He acted as an advisor, friend and mentor to many.
In addition to his parents, John was also preceded by a sister, Pamela Drucker.
Survivors include his son, John M. Lenhart, III of Charlottesville, VA, his former spouse and life long best friend, Marialana Lenhart of Lime Ridge and brothers: Rod Lenhart of Bloomsburg and Rand Lenhart of San Francisco.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market St., Bloomsburg. Memorial Services will begin on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00 am. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Lenhart family.
