Jill Marie Shaw-Creveling, age 50, of Fowlersville Road, Bloomsburg died on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at home by her family and under the care of Columbia Montour Home Hospice, after her long and tiring battle with cancer.
Jill was born on Friday, March 2, 1962 in Clearfield, a daughter of Robert and Patricia (Hudsick) Shaw of Bloomsburg. In 1980, she became a graduate of the Central Columbia High School. Following her high school education, she attended and later graduated from the former Williamsport School of Commerce. For over 27 years, Jill was employed by the law offices of Hummel & Lewis, LLC as a paralegal secretary. During her younger years in life, she attended church at the St. Columba Catholic Church in Bloomsburg. She always had a joy for cooking and sharing memories over a great meal. Jill will also be remembered by her family and friends for her smile and love of spending joyous times with her family. Jill's memory will always ring true in the hearts and minds of her family as she never complained throughout the many challenges she faced over the past few years.
In addition to her parents, Jill is survived by her husband of 25 years, Tony R. Creveling, a son: Cody R. Creveling of Bloomsburg; a sister: Barbara Flick and husband, Jim, of Bloomsburg; two brothers: Jeffrey N. Shaw of Nescopeck and James M. Shaw of Bloomsburg; as well as a grandson: Mason R. Creveling.
A time of Visitation will be held on next Saturday, November 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, 640 4th Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will begin on next Saturday, November 3 at 11 a.m. also from the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, with Rev. Terry J. Brosious, officiating.
