Jill Everett, age 51, of Bloomsburg, died on Monday evening, June 15, 2015 in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville where she was admitted Thursday. Jill had been in failing health for several months.
Jill was born on Saturday, April 4, 1964 in Bloomsburg a daughter of William Everett of Orangeville and the late Barbara (Laubach) Everett.
Jill was a 1982 graduate of the Millville High School. She continued her education at the Williamsport Area Community College where she earned an Associate's Degree. She completed her education at the University of Scranton upon obtaining a B.S. degree.
Jill's early years of employment were dedicated to Foster Home Placement. She used her Psychology Degree in the field of Drug and Alcohol Addiction Counseling. She was last employed by Genesis House of Bloomsburg.
Jill was an active community volunteer. She took great pride in helping people. She volunteered at Artspace, Moose Exchange, BTE and EOS. She loved Kidsburg.
The love of Jill's life is her son: Evan Moffitt. Surviving in addition to her father are three sisters: Linda Snyder and husband, Harry, of Bloomsburg, Sara "Sally" Hess and husband, Randy, of Orangeville, Lydia Turner and husband, Curt, of Bloomsburg; two brothers: Richard Everett and wife, Janet, of Waterford CT and Tim Everett and several nieces and nephews whom she adored.
In addition to her mother, Jill was preceded in death by a sister: Margaret Everett in infancy.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Moffitt and Everett families.
