Jesse E. Karnes, age 41, formerly of Espy, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at his residence in Berwick.
Jesse was born on Wednesday, October 27, 1971 in Bloomsburg, a son of Elroy and Rosetta (Cooper) Karnes of Espy. Jesse was a member of the 1990 Graduating Class of the Central Columbia High School, and a 1992 Graduate of the Lincoln Technical School in Allentown. Most recently, Jesse was employed by Nittany Glass in Port Matilda as a Project Manager for over 15 years. Jesse enjoyed his time of coaching for his sons while they played AYSO Soccer and a Little League Baseball. He will always be remembered for his avid love of Penn State football, and also the times spent laughing and reciting movie lines with his siblings. When his time allowed, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and also taking walks with his dogs.
Surviving in addition to his parents are three sons: Calvin, Colby and Seth Karnes, all of Harveys Lake; a brother: Shawn Karnes and wife, Karen, of Albany, KY; a sister: Rachel Karnes and companion, Bruce Troutman, of New Providence; and a maternal grandmother: Helen Cooper, of Orangeville; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A time of Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will also begin on Wednesday, May 8 at 7 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon E. Smith of the St. John Lutheran Church in Espy, officiating.
