Jennie A. Hoffman, age 95, formerly of South Market St., Bloomsburg and First St., Danville, died Monday, September 07, 2009, in the Emmanuel Nursing Center, Danville where she had resided for the past 11 months. Mrs. Hoffman was born Monday, February 2, 1914 in Millgrove, PA, a daughter of the late Lester and Rachael Beaver Adams. She attended the former Locust High School in Numidia.For 22 years Jennie was employed as a presser by the former Sunshine Laundry, retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.On November 15, 1992, her husband, Raymond Hoffman, died ending a marriage of 60 years. Survivors include a daughter: Janet Coleman of Danville and a son Charles R. Hoffman and his wife, Vera, of Bloomsburg; seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Ruth Fetterman and a brother: Clarence Adams. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., with Rev. Thomas J. Fetterolf officiating. Burial will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery.
