Jean M. Krum , age 82, of Bloomsburg, died on Sunday, January 8, 2017, a patient of the Grandview Health Homes in Danville. Jean was a resident of her home in South Center Township for over 60 years.
Jean was born on Monday, March 5, 1934 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Harry and Viola (Strausser) Sitler. Throughout her younger years, Jean attended area schools, and later graduated from the former Scott High School in 1951.
Jean was employed by former Magee Carpet Co. and the former U.S. Radium. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Espy. Jean enjoyed spending time with family and gardening during her younger years.
In addition to her parents, Jean was also preceded by her husband, Robert E. Krum on September 14, 1988 and two siblings: George Sitler and Clara Hinkle.
Jean is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St.,Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Elan Memorial Park. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Krum family.
