Jean Eileen Jacobs, age 79, of Almedia, died on Friday, July 5, 2019, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Jean was a resident of her home in Almedia for over 50 years.

Jean was born on Friday, December 1, 1939 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Orville and Hildred (Hunsinger) Boone. Throughout her younger years, Jean attended the Bloomsburg area schools and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1957.

On December 22, 1984, Jean married her loving husband, Richard L. Jacobs. For 12 years, Jean was employed by Keck Drapery as a Seamstress until her retirement in 2001. She was a member of the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Jean was also preceded by son, Robert Liddick in 1983.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 34 years, Richard L. Jacobs, a grandson; Joshua Dunkle and wife, Kelly, of Washington PA, four great grandson and three siblings: Dennis Boone and wife, Kathie, of Arlington, VA, Maxine Edwards and husband, Craig, of Lime Ridge and Jodie Boone and wife, Linda, of Orangeville.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg, is honored to be serving the Jacobs family.
