Obituary
Jane H. Heuermann, age 70, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020, at her Scott Twp. home. Jane was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 23 years.
She was born on Wednesday, December 7, 1949 in Flushing, New York, a daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Thomashunis) Lamont. Jane graduated from the Mary Louis Academy, NY in 1967. Jane expanded her education by attending Hunter College, New York City, and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She later graduated from Lankenau Hospital School of Anesthesia, Philadelphia in 1977. Jane was a Nurse Anesthetist for many years at Lancaster General Hospital before becoming a mother. Later in life, Jane was employed by Geisinger Medical Center, Danville as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 2014. She was a member of American Association of Nurse Anesthetists since June, 1977 and the PA Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg. Jane enjoyed vacationing with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren, she also enjoyed gardening, flowers and online shopping.
In addition to her parents, Jane was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Dorso, and a brother, Raymond Lamont.
Survivors include her two children; a son Peter C. Heuermann and wife Kelly of Bloomsburg, a daughter, Sarah J. wife of T. J. Carney of Bloomsburg, six grandchildren, Chase Crawford, Jude Heuermann, Evan Heuermann, Liam Heuermann, Rowan Carney, Asher Carney, a brother in law, Charles Dorso of Franklin Park, NJ, a sister in law, Pam Lamont of Ellington, CT, and a niece, Elizabeth Lamont.
Due to the recent events and the current CDC guidelines, funeral services will be held privately for the family with graveside services held in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Jane's family apologizes for restricting her family and friends from paying respect at this time. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Heuermann and Carney families.
