Jane C. Evans, age 73, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at her Bloomsburg home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Monday, April 19, 1948 in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Norbert Crouse and Beatrice Louise (Banks) Zeigler. Jane graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School, Williamsport in 1966. She expanded her education by graduating from the Geisinger School of Nursing, Danville in 1969.

On May 1, 1976, Jane married her loving husband, Thomas J. Evans Jr. For over 50 years, Jane was employed by Geisinger Medical Center as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 2020. She enjoyed reading, shopping and vacationing at St. Michael's, Maryland.

In addition to her parents, Jane was also preceded in death by a sister, June.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 45 years, Thomas J. Evans, Jr., a brother, Norbert Crouse, Jr. of Jersey Shore, four nieces, Kamala Confair of Lairdsville, Lauren Reed of Jersey Shore, Karli Crouse of Elkins Park, PA, Kier vanHolts of Berkeley, CA, two nephews, Pieter vanRemoortere of Namaimo, British Columbia, Canada, David vanRemoortere of Bethesda, MD, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane E. wife of Francois vanRemoortere of Bethesda, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg with Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence, celebrant. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Evans family.
