Jane M. Barndt, age 94, died Monday, November 10 at Balanced Care at Bloomsburg where she had resided for the past five years. Prior to moving to Balanced Care, Jane lived at 146 E. Fourth St., Bloomsburg. Jane was born March 22, 1914 in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Nettie Mencer. She was a graduate of the former Dickinson Junior College which is now Lycoming College, Williamsport. In her early years she was a secretary at the Capital Building, Harrisburg. For many years she assisted her late husband in Leon Barndt's Radio and TV Service, Bloomsburg.Jane was a long time member of Trinity Reformed U.C.C. and more recently attended New Covenant Christian Center in Berwick until she could no longer attend due to illness. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Leon S. Barndt on July 31, 1990.Survivors include two sons: Felix and his wife, Donna, San Diego, CA and Joel and his wife, Susan, Bloomsburg and nine grandchildren.Memorial services will be Friday, November 14 at 11 A.M. from New Covenant Christian Center, 212 W. 11th St., Berwick.
