Jami E. Coombs, age 60, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by her loving children. Jami was a resident of Bloomsburg all of her life.

She was born on Saturday, July 30, 1960 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late James E. and Sandra L. (Fetzer) Coombs. Throughout her younger years, Jami attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1979. Jami expanded her education by attending Sherman College, Boiling Springs, SC, graduating in 1981. For over 30 years, Jami was employed by Geisinger Medical Center as a Senior Administrative Assistant. She served as the secretary of the VFW Post #804 Auxiliary, Bloomsburg. Jami found joy being around family, friends and her animals. As a social butterfly she loved dancing, karaoke, pool, playing cards, going to races and life itself.

In addition to her parents, Jami was also preceded in death by a brother, David A. Coombs.

Survivors include her two beloved children; Andrew C. Schmid of Bloomsburg, Ali M. wife of Stephen Bednarik of Felton, DE, two grandchildren, Adeline G. Bednarik, Liam M. Bednarik, and her companion, Bobby Winn of Elysburg.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Coombs family.
