James M. Shaw, Sr., age 49, of Lightstreet, died unexpectedly on Monday afternoon, November 16, 2015 at his home in Scott Township where he resided for the past 27 years.
Jim was born on Thursday, January 20, 1966 in Hazleton, a son of Patricia (Hudsick) Shaw of Bloomsburg and the late Robert N. Shaw who passed on June 3, 2013. While growing up in the Bloomsburg area, Jim attended and later graduated from the Central Columbia High School in 1986. He was employed locally his whole life, and served in the custodial department of the Central Columbia Elementary School from 1990 until 2012. Jim was currently employed at the Berwick Offray.
In addition to his father, Robert N. Shaw, Jim was also preceded in death by his sister, Jill Creveling on October 23, 2012.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Patricia Shaw of Bloomsburg, are his two children: James M. Shaw, Jr. and Katelyn Shaw both of Berwick; two grandchildren: Kaydem Riegel and Noelle Shaw; and also by his two siblings: Barbara Flick and husband, James, of Bloomsburg; and Jeffrey Shaw of Mifflinville.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening, November 20 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
At the family's request, all remaining services will be held privately at this time. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Shaw family.
