Obituary

James A. "Jim" Wolfe, age 79, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, a patient of Emmanuel Nursing Center in Danville. Jim was a resident of his home in Scott Township for over 20 years.

Jim was born on Thursday, August 1, 1946 in Fowlersville, a son of the late Homer and Ethel (Thomas) Wolfe. He graduated from Central Columbia High School in 1964. On October 30, 1965, Jim married his loving wife, the former Carol A. Lowe. On November 15, 1965, he joined the United States Army, where he faithfully served during Vietnam War and was honorably discharged as Sergeant in 1967.

For over 35 years, Jim was employed as plant manager by Lehigh Hanson Heidelberg Cement Group. He was a car enthusiast, attending many car shows and was member of the Dream Machine Motor Club. Jim also enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and watching Nascar. He was a member of the American Legion Post 273, as well as a member of the NRA.

In addition to his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by his brothers; Edwin Wolfe, Floyd Wolfe, Gerald Wolfe, and one sister; Evelyn Summers.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years; Carol A. Wolfe, his son; Jeffrey A. Wolfe and wife Susan, his daughter; Yvonne M. Wolfe and husband Mike Collins, his grandson, Cody Wolfe and wife Alana, his great-grandson; John Henry Wolfe, two sisters; Audrey Kelly and Lois George as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, pastor of Catawissa Christian Church officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Wolfe family.
