James Albert "Jim" Bowman, age 60, of Eagle Creek, OR died on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was a resident of Oregon for over 40 years.
He was born on Monday, November 4, 1957 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Martin J. and Jane (Happ) Bowman Shipe. Throughout his younger years, Jim attended the Millville area schools, and later graduated from the Millville High School in 1975. He expanded his education by attending Harrisburg Area Community College, and graduated with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. On December 7, 2002, Jim married his loving wife the former Tammy Bangs. For many years, he was employed by Oliver Packaging & Equipment Co. as a Western Regional Sales Manager. Jim's 1978 visit to Oregon was a one way trip. He never looked back and spent the rest of his life there, enjoying fishing, hunting, camping, golfing and gardening. He and his wife Tammy resided in Eagle Creek, OR and enjoyed the great outdoors together.
In addition to his parents, Jim was also preceded by a sister, Judy A. Zeisloft.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 16 years, Tammy D. Bowman, a sister, Carol B. wife of Bill Kauffman of Raleigh, NC, a brother, Martin J. Bowman, III and wife Deborah of Bloomsburg, and a stepbrother, Christopher Shipe and wife Diane of Berryville, VA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mill-Green United Methodist Church, 75 South State St., Millville.
Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at Mill-Green United Methodist Church, Millville with Rev. Robert W. Strozyk, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Millville Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Bowman family.
