James F. Deibler, age 69, of Bloomsburg died on Sunday morning, August 4, 2013 at his residence. Jim was a resident of Bloomsburg for over 26 years and also formerly of the State College area.
Jim was born on Tuesday, April 18, 1944 in Bellefonte, a son of the late Rachel Deibler. In 1962, Jim graduated from the State College High School. Following the completion of his education, Jim married his beloved wife, Edna (Meyers) Deibler on August 3, 1963. Jim and Edna celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on this past Saturday, August 3rd.
For over 34 years, Jim was the Store Manager at the former Claster Lumber Company in Bloomsburg and Sunbury. Most recently, Jim was employed by Haddon Craftsman, Inc. in Bloomsburg for over 12 years until recently retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Fairbrook United Methodist Church in Pennsylvania Furnace.
In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Deibler.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Edna, is a daughter: Jamie Ammon and husband, Dennis, of Northumberland; a son: Scott Deibler and wife, Angie, also of Northumberland; four grandsons: Joshua Ammon, Caleb Ammon, Scott Deibler and Zachary Deibler, and one great-granddaughter: Emelia Deibler.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 8 from 1 to 2 p.m. from the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street in State College.
