Jack L. Gregory, age 88, of Bloomsburg, went to his eternal home on Saturday, February 7, 2026, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was a resident of his home in Scott Township for over 61 years.
Jack was born on Wednesday, October 6, 1937 in Berwick, a son of the late George and Margaret (Gottschall) Gregory. He graduated from the former Scott Twp. School, Espy in 1956. He faithfully served in the United States Army National Guard from October 18, 1954 until being honorably discharged on October 17, 1963. On April 1, 1962, Jack married his loving wife, the former Dolores R. Lanehart who preceded him in death on March 23, 2024. For over 44 years, Jack was employed by Cintas, Bloomsburg as laundry service sales representative until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the Shiloh Bible Church, Bloomsburg. Jack enjoyed spending his time singing in church and in earlier years singing at Diehl's Campground and area nursing homes. He especially enjoyed singing with his grandchildren, he attended all their sporting and musical events.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jack was also preceded in death by four siblings: Edna Jubinski, Frank Gregory, George Gregory and Sarah J. Hopper.
Survivors include his four beloved children and adopted granddaughter: Roxanne Showers and husband W. Kenneth of Bloomsburg, Scott J. Gregory and wife Patti of Montgomery, David W. Gregory and wife Nicole of Millville, Michael J. Gregory and wife Crystal of Berwick, and Brandi M. Gregory of Bloomsburg; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren on the way.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Shiloh Bible Church, 123 Church St., Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11:00 am at Shiloh Bible Church, with Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyon, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Military Honors will be provided by the Columbia County Honor Guard. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Gregory family.
