Irene A. Moser, age 105, of Bloomsburg, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, a resident of the Sunset Ridge Healthcare Center for the past five months in Bloomsburg. In between, she resided five years at her daughter's home. She was a resident of her home in Scott Township for over 40 years.

She was born on Sunday, November 17, 1918 in Catawissa, a daughter of the late John and Lottie (Gotshall) Ernest. She attended the Lawrence One Room School House in Franklin Twp. In November, 1980, she married her husband, Roy A. Moser who preceded her in death on November 26, 1993. She was employed as a seamstress in the textile industry. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg where she was a member for over 50 years. She loved attending family gatherings, sewing, gardening especially planting marigolds.

In addition to her parents and husband: she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Russel Stewart, a grandson: Lee Hilliard, a son in law, David Hilliard, daughter in law, Hollie Stewart, three brothers: Walter "Wally" Ernest, Marion "Jim" Ernest, Howard Ernest, five sisters: Hazel Rhodes, Edna Shultz, Thelma Williams, Mary Morrow and Pearl Bickert.

Survivors include her beloved two children: Elaine I. Hilliard of Catawissa, Paul R. Stewart and companion Deb Klinger of Bloomsburg, granddaughter, Tamara Lapchak and husband Nick of Danville, and their children: Nicholas and his wife Emma, Kaylei, grandson, Paul Hilliard and wife Shannon of Catawissa, and their children: Kassidy, Karissa, granddaughter, Laurel L. Trathen and her husband David of Catawissa, and their children: Jacob, Aden, Alicia, Ella, granddaughter, Megan E. Stewart of Orangeville, and her son: Dallas, and a brother, Carl Ernest and wife Mary Anna of Berwick.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Friday March 29, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Susan O. Rogutski, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the family.
