Hortense Frazao, age 95, of Bloomsburg, stepped into heaven on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, a resident of The Gardens of Orangeville. Where she resided for many years and previously lived with her daughter.
Hortense was born on Tuesday, October 1, 1929, a daughter of the late Jose and Maria (Libania) Fragoso. She attended schools in Portugal and grew up. On April 26, 1950, she married her loving husband, Antonio Frazao who preceded her in death on September 30, 2010. They moved to the United States and settled into Connecticut. For several years, Hortense was employed by St. Vincent's Hospital, CT as a Sterile Supply Technician until her retirement. After retirement she moved to Pennsylvania. She was a member of the St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg. Her great enjoyment was playing cards with her brother, nephew and son.
In addition to her parents and husband, Hortense was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her two beloved children: Arlindo Frazao and wife Mary Ann of Bethel, CT, Alice Wilson and husband John of Bloomsburg; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Andrew P. St. Hilaire, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Frazao family.
