Obituary
Helen A. Wanich, age 103, of Danville, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, a patient of the Emmanuel Nursing Center in Danville. Helen was a resident of her home in Danville for over 62 years.
She was born on Sunday, December 15, 1918 in Catawissa, a daughter of the late Alfred and Susanna (Keller) Johnson. She graduated from the former Orangeville Vocational High School in 1937. Helen married her loving husband, Jack C. Wanich, who preceded her in death on January 12, 2000. She was employed by Magee Carpet Company until her retirement. Helen was a member of the Danville Shiloh United Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Helen was preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters. She was the last member of her immediate family. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Wanich family.
