Harry W. Rogers, age 74, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at his Scott Twp. residence where he resided for 31 years.
Harry was born on Monday, August 7, 1944 in Harrisburg, a son of the late Harry A. and Irene (Koch) Rogers. Throughout his younger years, Harry attended, and later graduated from the Lock Haven High School in 1962. Harry expanded his education by attending The Pennsylvania State Police Academy graduating in 1969. On July 7, 1978, Harry married his loving wife the former Mary A. Wolfe. For over 25 years, Harry was employed by The Pennsylvania State Police until his retirement on May 1, 1994. Following retirement he was employed by the Town of Bloomsburg Parking Enforcement for 10 years.
In addition to his parents, Harry was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Warner.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Mary A. Rogers of Bloomsburg, four children; Caitlyn A. Rogers of Bloomsburg, Michael W. Rogers and wife Fallon of Bloomsburg, Amy L. Walizer of Harrisburg, and Carrie M. wife of Tim Arnold of Mechanicsburg, nine grandchildren, including Alyssa, Kale and Mason, all of Bloomsburg, three great grandchildren, and a sister, Katharine Barnhart and husband, Ronald, of Hughesville.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with The Honorable Donna Coombs, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Rogers family.
