Harry A. Derr Jr., age 77, of Danville, passed on Saturday, December 9, 2023, a patient of Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Harry was a resident of his home in Montour Twp. for over 50 years.

He was born on Wednesday, October 9, 1946, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Harry A. Sr. and Rosie E. (Tedesco) Derr. He graduated from the Bloomsburg High School. For many years, he was employed by Magee Carpet Co. as a tow motor operator until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW Post 8306, Catawissa, American Legion Post 541, Catawissa, and the former Liberty Fire Hall, Bloomsburg. Harry enjoyed spending his time hunting, including anything outdoors, flea marketing and antiquing.

Survivors include his two beloved children: Harry A. Derr III of Bloomsburg, Tracy Derr Sharp and husband Brian of VA, his significant other of 33 years, Lois Pentz of Danville, a brother; Robert E. Derr and wife Sherry of Danville and four grandchildren.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Derr family.
