Grace E. Jaskiewicz, age 87, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Grace was born on Sunday, May 3, 1936 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Guy Mensch and Isabelle "Betty" (Menges) McHenry. She graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1954. Grace expanded her education by attending Bloomsburg University and graduated with a master's degree in education. For over 29.5 years, Grace was employed by Milton Area School District as an English Teacher until her retirement in 1999. Grace continued her passion for education by becoming a substitute teacher at Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at age 85. She was a member of the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge #436, the Daughters of American Revolution, the Bloomsburg Civic Club, the Bloomsburg Hospital Auxiliary, the Bloomsburg American Legion Post #273 and a lifelong member of Columbia County Historical Society.

Grace enjoyed knitting, reading, nature photography, cooking, baking, and spending time with her beloved dogs, Boots and Bailey. She never lost her charm, her smile, her sense of humor or her title, "The Best Mother and Grandmother" anyone could ask for. Grace had many friends that enjoyed her wit, correction of grammar and sarcasm. She will be sorely missed.

Survivors include her four children: Dennis Jaskiewicz of Bloomsburg, Thomas Jaskiewicz and wife Bonita of Bloomsburg, Diane Bardsley and husband Jon of Brighton, MI, Sharon Parks and husband Alfred of Iron Station, NC, eight grandchildren; Melissa, Gail, Erin and her husband Josh, Anna, Sara, Meredith and her husband Nate, Alfred, Jr., Johnathan, six great-grandchildren, four siblings: Rodney McHenry and wife Eleanor of Hemet, CA, Terry Ann Walb and husband Butch of CO, Jack Mensch of Harrisburg, and Guy Mensch, III and wife Donna of Bloomsburg.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Gordon E. Smith, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Jaskiewicz family.
