Gloria J. Fraim, age 87, of Mystic Mountain Estates, Catawissa, died on Monday, February 27, 2012 a recent resident of Columbia Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall in Danville.
Gloria was born on Tuesday, September 23, 1924 in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Gaverone) Amoroso. She graduated from the Overbrook High School in Philadelphia and at the same time worked for the family owned bakery, Amoroso Bakery. She married in 1947 to her beloved husband, a Veteran with the United States Navy, the late Joseph E. Fraim who passed on May 26, 1999. Throughout her life, she assisted her family in the operation and ownership of Mystic Mountain Estates in Catawissa. In addition to participating in the family business, she was also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother in caring for her entire family. She was a member of the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Parish in Slabtown.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were two sisters: Evelyn Rensimer and Rita Rurode; and also a brother: Victor Amoroso.
Survivors include her daughter, with whom she was currently residing: Pamela Fraim Kressler and husband, Larry J., of Danville; a son: Joseph W. Fraim and wife, Nancy M., of Downingtown; three grandchildren: Joseph Fraim Kressler of Philadelphia; Jennifer Shealy and husband, Aaron, of Downingtown; and Michael Joseph Fraim also of Downingtown; as well as a sister: Marie Ford of Warminster, PA.
