Glenn E. Raup, age 75, of Bloomsburg, died on November 11, 2010 in Bonita Springs, Florida. He was a Bloomsburg resident his entire life, but throughout his later years he would winter in Bonita Springs.
Glenn was born on Friday, September 6, 1935 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Paul F. and Eva I. (Rider) Raup. He was a member of the 1953 Graduating Class of the former Scott High School and also attended the Bloomsburg State Teachers College. Throughout his earlier years, he was employed by Magee Carpet Co. in Bloomsburg. For the past 20 years, he was employed as a Treasurer for Millville Mutual Insurance Co. in Millville. He was an active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and was also past Church Treasurer. He was a past member of the Bloomsburg Lions Club and also the Boy Scout of America Troop in Lightstreet.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Raup.
Survivors include his beloved wife of over 51 years, Elsie (Hess) Raup; a son: Dennis S. Raup and wife, Kim, of Honoeye Falls, NY; a daughter: Debra K. Kneisley and husband, Raymond III, of Columbia, PA; five grandchildren; a brother: Fred Raup and wife, Sharon, of Crestview, FL; and a sister: Donna Stackhouse and husband, Lee, of Hughesville.
A Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 21 at 2 p.m. from the St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9 St. Lukes Way, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Jeffrey G. Bohan, officiating.
