Obituary

Gerald 'Ted' Laubach Sr., age 96, of Bloomsburg died on Sunday morning, June 20, 2021, a resident of the Grandview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Danville.

Ted was born on Sunday, April 5, 1925, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Elmer and Margaret (Lutz) Laubach. Throughout his younger years, he attended the Benton area schools, and later graduated from Benton High School in 1942.

Ted married Sceva R. Pealer, who died on March 27, 1997.

He was last employed by Milco Industries as a Tool Room Supervisor until his retirement in 1987.

He was an active member of the Rohrsburg Christian Church. He was also a member of the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge No. 463 and a life member Buckhorn Fire Company.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ted was also preceded by brothers, John "Jack" Laubach, David Laubach, and Fred Laubach; and two sisters: Ruth Karns and Barbara Everett.

Survivors include his children: Mary Ann Moyer and husband Robert, of Carlisle, Gerald "Ted" Laubach Jr. and wife Theresa, of Lewisberry, Dennis Laubach and wife Joyce, of Bloomsburg, and Kevin Laubach and wife Sue, of Danville; a half brother: Allen Laubach of Millville; three grandchildren: Julie Lang and husband, Mike, of Altoona, Dr. Colleen Laubach of Gouldsboro, NC, Colin Laubach of Sacramento, CA; one great granddaughter: Maisey Lang of Altoona; one step grandson, Dustin Bartholomew and wife Jessica of Danville; one step great grandson, Skyler Bartholomew of Danville.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday afternoon, June 25, 2021 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home Inc., 745 Market at Eighth streets in Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will also begin on Friday afternoon, June 25, 2021 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Michael Woolcock, of the Rohrsburg Christian Church, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in St. Paul's (Straub's) Lutheran Cemetery, Frosty Valley. The Allen Funeral Home Inc. is honored to be serving the Laubach family.
