Genevieve J. "Mickey" Crawford, age 81, of Drinker Street in Fernville died on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at her residence under the care of Columbia Montour Home Hospice.
Mickey was born on Sunday, April 20, 1930 in Beaver Valley, a daughter of the late Peter and Anna Pauline (Render) Chernesky. She was a member of the 1948 Graduating Class of the Beaver Valley High School. Throughout her life, she was a devoted and loving wife and mother to her family. She also enjoyed spending her time cooking and sewing.
She is survived by her beloved husband of over 59 years, Frank G. Crawford; two daughters: Linda Rockwell of Bloomsburg; and Polly Heimbach and her husband, Michael, of Riverside; a son: Larry A. Crawford of Port Trevorton; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 25 at 11 a.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg with her grandson-in-law, Rev. Ian MacLellan, officiating. Friends will be received at the Allen Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Graveside services will be held in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
