Gary W. Adams II, age 42, of Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning, October 19, 2013 in the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital Emergency Room in Bloomsburg
Gary was born on Sunday, June 20, 1971 in Towanda, Pennsylvania, a son of Gary W. Adams of Tunkhannock and Carol (Schill) Adams of Wysox. Gary completed his education in 1989 after graduating from the Towanda High School. For over 15 years, Gary was employed by the Press Enterprise as a Machine Operator in the bindery. Recently, Gary was helping his brother with his business in Beef Jerky. On March 1, 2008, Gary married his loving wife, the former Dianna Torres.
Gary loved the joys of the outdoors and spending his time fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and especially playing poker with "the boys". He will always be remembered as a dedicated fan of his two favorite teams, whether win or lose, the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Yankees.
On June 20, 2007, tragedy struck when Gary was preceded by his only son: Corey L. Adams.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his loving wife, Diana Adams; a step-son: Jonathan Haupt of Storrs, CT; two brothers: Danny Adams of Unityville, and Randy Adams of Canton; a step-mother: Virginia Adams and a step-father: Howard Swope. Gary is also survived by several niece, nephew and cousins.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 24 from 1 to 2 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will also begin on Thursday, October 24 at 2 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg with Rev. Stephen D. Engelhardt, officiating. Graveside services, where Gary will be laid to rest with his late son, will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
