Gail A. Leitzel, age 65, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, a patient at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Gail was a resident of her home in Scott Township for over 37 years.
She was born on Saturday, March 1, 1958, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Eugene A. and Rena V. (Kitchen) Lynn. She graduated from Central Columbia High School in 1976. On November 15, 1975, Gail married her loving husband, Robert H. Leitzel.
For over 5 years, Gail was employed by Geisinger as a Patient Access Representative until her retirement on February 26, 2021. Her previous jobs were Avon Representative, Milco Industries, Balanced Care, Bloomsburg and Moyer Pharmacy. She was a member of the Shiloh Bible Church, Bloomsburg. She enjoyed her time crocheting, sewing and cruising with the family. She also loved going out to eat with friends and family and going to sporting events to watch the grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Gail was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lynn.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 48 years, Robert H. Leitzel of Bloomsburg, two children: Angie S. Kingston and husband Damion of Bloomsburg, Amanda L. Richards, several grandchildren, two siblings; Brenda Lynn of Berwick and Douglas E. Lynn and wife Pam of Rehoboth Beach, DE, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyon, Shiloh Bible Church, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Leitzel family.
