Dr. G. Donald Miller, Jr., age 69, of Crestmont Circle, Bloomsburg, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He resided at his home in Scott Twp. for the past 17 years.
Dr. Miller was born on Thursday, March 26, 1942 in Greensburg, PA, a son of the late Glenn D. and Jean (Howell) Miller, Sr. He was a member of the 1960 Graduating Class of the Hempfield Area High School and also graduated from Indiana State College. He received his Masters and Doctorate Degrees from Temple University. For over 30 years, he was the Professor of Audiology for Bloomsburg University until retiring in May of 1999. He also was also the proprietor and practicing Audiologist for the Ace Hearing Center in Bloomsburg from 1995 until March of 2011. He attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Espy. He was a member of the Oriental Lodge #460 F&AM and also the Caldwell Consistory in Bloomsburg.
Surviving is his beloved wife of over 23 years, Catharine Cosoleto; a daughter: Krista Anthony and husband, Edward, of Doylestown; three sons: Mark S. Miller and wife, Olga Watkins, of Pittsburgh; Anthony "Nino" Cosoleto-Miller of Bloomsburg; and Kyle Cosoleto-Miller at home; four grandchildren: Sam, Luke, Sarah and Ella; a sister: Sandra Kern and husband, Cliff, of Laurens, SC; and a brother: Dennis Miller of Florida.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 17 at 11 a.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg with Rev. Susan Rogutski, officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
