G. Elaine Flick, age 77, of 6680 Low St., Lime Ridge, died on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She had been seriously ill for two months. Mrs. Flick was born August 24, 1932 in Berwick, a daughter of H. Ray and Kathryn (Remensnyder) Longenberger. She was a 1950 graduate of the Berwick High School. Elaine was involved in the family business, Flick Brothers Electric, where she regularly prepared mid-day meals for the staff. She was also an active member of the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church where she enjoyed serving meals for church activities. On August 5, 1995, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Flick. Surviving are six children: Susan Johnson and husband, John of Bloomsburg; Carol Flook and husband, Robert, of Bloomsburg; Mollie Rinehimer and husband, Randy, of Berwick, Timothy L. Flick and wife, Jo Louise, of Bloomsburg; Daniel S. Flick and wife, Nancy, of Bloomsburg and James H. Flick and wife, Barbara, of Bloomsburg. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a sister: Shirley Travelpiece of Berwick. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with her pastor, Rev. Terry Brosius, officiating. Burial will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Family will provide flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Lime Ridge United Methodist Memorial Fund or Columbia Montour Home Hospice 210 Glenn Ave., Suite 200, Bloomsburg.
